Our spotlight this week has been writing since her teenage years. She has transitioned from a fictional storyteller and poet to an adept content writer writing about food, gadgets, law, travel, pop culture, education, and much more.

Tell us about your personal and professional journey. How did you end up becoming a content writer?
My personal and professional journey as a content writer has been fulfilling. Ever since I was a teenager, I have had a passion for writing. I would write stories, poems, and articles for fun, and I was always eager to share them with my mother.
After completing my degree in Law, I decided to pursue a career in legal writing. I started as a freelance legal writer, writing articles and blog posts for law-based firms and blogs. It allowed me to hone my writing skills and understand the different formats and styles used in writing for various platforms.
Over time, I developed a keen interest in content writing and started specializing in this domain. I had a natural talent for producing engaging and informative content that resonated with the target audience. I soon became a full-time content writer, working with organizations and companies to create content that helped them achieve their goals.
My role as a content writer has allowed me to unleash my creativity and passion for writing and reach my goals. Hence, becoming a content writer was not something I had planned, but it was an immensely rewarding journey. I am grateful for the opportunities to develop my skills and build a successful career in this field.
What do you enjoy most about working as a content writer?
As a freelance content writer, what I enjoy most about my work is its creative challenges and the chance to learn and research new topics. I love putting my writing aptitudes to use in composing compelling content for diverse audiences. Another part I enjoy is the cooperation with other team members, such as editors and project managers.
It’s incredible how my words come to life in blog posts, articles, and other pieces that inform, enlighten and engage readers. Also, writing is a personal passion, and I am delighted when I can turn that passion into a thriving career.
The fact that I can earn well by doing something I love is immensely rewarding. Moreover, the satisfaction of producing useful content for readers, the possibility for personal and professional growth, and the opportunity to turn my passion into a career are what I love most about working as a content writer.

Some tips that I would like to give to aspiring writers are:

Apart from writing, what are your hobbies and interests?
Apart from writing, I enjoy reading books on various topics for personal interest or professional development. Moreover, reading has immensely helped me advance my content writing career and improve my vocabulary considerably.
Lastly, please share your favorite book and current reading list.
My all-time favorite book would have to be “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. It is a timeless classic that analyzes the themes of ethical inequality and righteousness. The story is conveyed through the eyes of Scout Finch, a young girl in the Deep South during the 1930s.
The book is a strong commentary on human needs and remains relevant even today. I love how the author catches the virtue of childhood and the intricacies of adult life in a subtle way.
As for my current reading list, it’s a combination of fiction and non-fiction. I’m reading “Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind” by Yuval Noah Harari, which delivers a thorough overview of human evolution and civilization.
